Michelin Hobbs

Michelin Ann DeLier Hobbs was called home by the Lord after a brief illness on August 30, 2026. Michelin was born on March 9, 1943 to Jacques and Barbara DeLier at Barksdale AFB, Shreveport, Louisiana. Michelin was a loving wife to her husband, Paul Hobbs, for 45 years and an exemplary daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many who knew and loved her. Friends and family have always spoken of her respect and kindness to everyone. Michelin graduated from Bishop McGuinness High School in 1963. She was a National Merit Scholar, as well as class valedictorian. Michelin graduated from the University of Oklahoma as a Phi Beta Kappa, before securing a master's degree from Stanford. She then went back to Oklahoma University for law school, graduating in the top 5 percent of her class. Michelin practiced law for over 50 years in Oklahoma, primarily as a worker's comp attorney. Michelin devoted a great deal of her time and energy to public service organizations and to individuals. Michelin was preceded in death by her father, Jacques DeLier, her mother, Barbara Wilkinson DeLier, and her nephew, Michael DeLier. She is survived by her husband, Paul Hobbs of Oklahoma City, her brother, Michael DeLier and his wife, Kari, of Dallas, Texas, nephew, Matthew DeLier of Dallas, Texas, niece, Kathleen Webb of Dallas, Texas, stepson, David Hobbs and his wife, Geri, of Mustang, sister-in-law, Jane Hopson of Oklahoma City, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Susi Hobbs of San Antonio, Texas, as well as several great nieces and nephews. Michelin's personal accomplishments in business were many, as were the many people she helped in their personal lives. Michelin will be missed by so many for her friendly manner, hospitality, and good will. Michelin led a remarkable life. Her faith in Christ and her family were of paramount importance to her.
