Nancy Wallace, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 16, 2020. She was born to Louis and Jenny Karner on September 22, 1937 and was raised in Wampum, Pa. She graduated from Wampum High School in 1955 and then from nurse's training in 1958. She served as a nurse in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1963 in Michigan and Germany. She married George in 1960 and had three children, John, Susan and Karen and were married 59 years. She did a great job taking care of the family while George was serving in the Vietnam War. Nancy was a homemaker until her children were in high school. She returned to nursing and was a staff nurse at Mercy Hospital for 25 years. She loved traveling and got to see most of the US. She also enjoyed going to the casino to play the slot machines. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Thunder and OU football. A 49 year member of St Eugene Catholic Church, her social life was centered around card circle and senior group activities. She was strong in her faith and made every effort to attend weekly and special masses. She is survived by her husband George; her son, John (Laura); her daughters, Susan (Steve) and Karen; and three grandchildren, John, Ryan and Brooke Solan and numerous family and friends. A memorial mass will be held at St. Eugene Catholic Church 10 am Friday, July 17th, 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Eugene Building Fund or the St. Eugene Capital Campaign.
