Pamela Rae Johnson

Pamela Rae Johnson, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 5, 2026. Pam was born October 26, 1944, in Wichita, Kansas, to Jackie and Keith Schardein.

Pam attended high school in Pryor, Oklahoma, and went on to graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma. She was married to Carlos E. Johnson and together, for 44 years, they built a life centered on faith, family, and friends.

If you knew Pam, you knew she loved the Lord with her whole heart and devoted her life to Him. She was selfless and constantly looking for ways to help and bless others. Pam’s favorite things in life were babies of friends and family, of which she helped raise many, Dr. Pepper, Iced Tea, Sudoku, and loved a great sale!

Pam attended BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) for over 20 years, where she made many life-long friendships, and she looked forward every month to gathering with her lunch group. Pam was a devoted member of Quail Springs Baptist Church and her treasured Sunday school class.

Above all, Pam’s family brought her the greatest joy. Carlos often said Pam loved the grandchildren more than him – and her greatest enjoyment was the time she spent with them. Her grandchildren spent countless nights at “Nan and CJ’s” house creating memories they will cherish forever.

Pam is survived by her husband Carlos E. Johnson; her children, Terri Sharp, Chris Huff (Karen), and Stacey Rice (Bryan); her grandchildren, Maddie Musgrove (Grant), Charlie Huff, Mary Huff, Cole Lee, Kate Rice, and Claire Rice; and her great-granddaughters, Hadley and Lucy Musgrove; and her brother Jim Schardein.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackie and Keith Schardein; her brother and sister-in-law, David and Karen Schardein; and her son-in-law, John Sharp.

A service to celebrate Pam’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Quail Springs Baptist Church.
