Patricia Anne Baker

Patricia “Patty” Anne Holt Baker, 88, of Oklahoma City, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, at Radiance Senior Living.

Born in Decatur, Illinois, on September 6, 1936, Patty was the daughter of Leonard and Mary Holt. She graduated from the University of Tulsa with a degree in English and was a proud member of Delta Gamma sorority, cherishing lifelong friendships with her sisters.

After college, she married Ralph Baker, an accountant and golf professional, and they made their home in Oklahoma City, where she lived most of her life. Ralph preceded her in death in 2007.

Patty was a talented seamstress and crafter; known for the bridal gowns she created and the holiday crafts she sold at local art fairs. She was also devoted to children—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—and spent her later years caring for several generations of young ones in her home in The Greens neighborhood.

A longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Nichols Hills, Patty was active in parish life and numerous church-related organizations.

She is survived by her son, David Baker, and his wife, Shideh, their children, Tristan and Chelsea, her daughter, Allison Bueno, and her husband, Dennis, Allison’s children, Grayson Ardies, and his wife, Kelsey, and their children (Eleanor and Liam), and Bailey Ardies.

Patty will be remembered for her creativity, faith, and devotion to family.

Special thanks to the caregivers at Radiance Senior Living and Suncrest Hospice.

Services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church (Nichols Hills) on September 26 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Peru Mission.
