Perry Joe Farr, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Oklahoma City, OK. Perry was born on June, 2, 1944 in Popular Bluff, MO to Woodard W Farr and Elizabeth L. Farr.
Perry was drafted by the Army and served from 1965 to 1967, spending those two years in Stuttgart, Germany. Perry then went to Arkansas State University and graduated with a degree in Business. After graduating, he entered the food service business working in management and then as a franchise business consultant for 42 restaurants.
Perry met the love of his life, Helen Scott in Oklahoma City and he knew he had met the person he would marry on September 13, 1975. Perry and Helen maintained a loving and supportive marriage of almost 51 years.
Perry loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball and rarely ever missed a game. Perry and Helen loved to travel and visited many of our Nations National Parks.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Woodrow Farr, sister Sharon Telker. He is survived by his wife Helen Scott Farr, nephew Brian Telker, niece Jennifer Mitchum. He touched many lives and he will be greatly missed.
Funeral service will be January 22, 2026, at 11:00am at Smith & Kernke Funeral Home on May Ave. 14624 North May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73134.
Donations can be made to OU Children’s Hospital or Jimmy Everest center at OU Children’s Hospital in his name are appreciated.
