Richard “Rich” Joseph Gioffredi, age 95, peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 21st, 2025, in Oklahoma City, surrounded by family.
Born on February 7th, 1930 to Virgilio and Rosina Gioffredi in the quaint town of Madrid, Iowa, Rich lived a long and full life marked with deep faith, unwavering devotion to his family and an abundance of humor. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Delores (Radosevich). Together they built a life filled with laughter, polka dancing, hard work, and enduring love. Children; Tony Gioffredi (Marsha) of Sugar Land, TX and Bernadette Loken (Tom) of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Matthew Gioffredi of Capron, IL, Michael Gioffredi of Sugar Land, TX, Michelle Cuellar (J.J.) of Oklahoma City, OK and Katie Voss (Michael) of Wellston, OK. His greatest joys call him Papa; great-grandchildren Charlotte, J.R., and Josie.
Rich was honored to have served in the United States Army during the Korean war. He retired from John Deere Des Moines after a 37-year career. He spent a few years pursuing his passion for cooking, fishing, and Iowa State Football but leisure life was not for him. He started a second career at the County Assessor’s Office and retired from there at the age of 85!
Throughout his life, Rich was known for his integrity, wisdom, playful spirit, and infectious sense of humor. His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched and the family he so deeply loved.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Catholic School of St. Eugene.
