Rita Rose Lee

Rita Rose Lee went to be with our Lord Jesus on January 8, 2021. She was born in El Reno, Oklahoma on April 22, 1937 to Noris M. Whitaker and Ada Beatrice Whitaker. She met the love of her life, James E. Lee, while in high school and they were married on August 9, 1957. Rita and Jim enjoyed 63 wonderful years together. They have been blessed with two great children, Michael E. Lee and wife Wendy of Houston, Texas and Pamela S. Tomasiello of Weston, Florida; two wonderful grandchildren, Michael A. Tomasiello and Rachael L. Tomasielo, both of Weston, Florida. She is also survived by her brother, Noris D. Whitaker; and niece, Linda Wheeler and her husband Lance and son Evan. Rita graduated from Classen High School in 1955 and attended Oklahoma City University for two years where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Over the years she worked for Kerr McGee Corporation and was office manager for Oren Houston Lumber Company. She was a long time member of Village Baptist Church, where she taught children's Sunday school and sang in the choir and is presently a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church. Rita was always kind and happy and had a smile for everyone. We will miss her so much, but we know she is now with Jesus in Heaven. Viewing will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Smith & Kernke N.
