Royleen 'Royleen Wells' Wells

C. Royleen Wells passed away peacefully on April 25, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born to Roy and Ruby Kizziar in Olustee, Oklahoma on the 3rd day of November 1925, and was raised on the family farm in Victory, Oklahoma. She graduated from Victory High School in 1943. She met Charles E. Wells at 1st Methodist Church in Oklahoma City and they were married September 8th, 1946. For the next 64 years Royleen and Charles faithfully served Christ through the Methodist church. For the past 13 years she has lived at Epworth Villa in Oklahoma City, where she will be remembered for her gracious smile and loving service. Royleen loved nurturing the world around her: her children, her grandchildren, her friends, her spirituality, and her blue ribbon winning pumpkins. Others were always important to her and she devoted her life to serving. She invested in eternal things. Royleen was a perfect example of the greatest generation. She possessed the dignity, humility, and grace common to those individuals whose values were learned on the farm. Her life exemplified perseverance, hard work and loving service. Royleen was preceded in death by Charles in 2010.She is survived by her children, Chuck and Angela Wells of Ft. Worth TX, Barbara and Ronnie Rounsaville and Mary and Thomas Hart of Edmond ,OK; grandchildren, Ryan, Andrew, Kristen, Patrick, Gaston, and Cardin; great-grandchildren, Lyla May and Gibson. A Memorial service will be held at May Avenue Methodist Church, 2604 N. May, on Tuesday April 30th at 1:30pm. Reception to follow. Memorials can be given to the Benevolent Fund at Epworth Villa.
