Sandie J. Dellaughter was born March 4, 1972 to parents Lionardo and Edina Molina. A child of the Texas panhandle, Sandie was known to many as Sam. A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, Sam earned her bachelor’s in English with a minor in French. Her love of language was exceeded only by her love of teaching young minds.
Sam, and her soulmate, Chris, spent 33 happy years together. They were a king and queen at their Las Vegas wedding in 2002. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unconditional love. Sam was the proud mother of her three cherished children – Rain, Gryphon, and Ryker – who were the light of her life.
Her faith guiding her every step, Sam was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and worked for years with the youngest students at Holy Trinity Lutheran School. She would welcome little ones, comforting them and caring for them on what was often their very first day of school ever. Sam’s quiet, confident care was a blessing to her co-workers and every student in her classroom.
Sam was known for her radiant presence and her ability to make everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. She gave her all in everything she did, whether supporting her family, nurturing friendships, or simply brightening a room with her smile. Her loyalty, warmth, and kindness left a lasting imprint on everyone she met.
On September 19, 2025, after 53 years of love and service, Sam was told, “well done, good and faithful one,” and was welcomed home to the courts of heaven by her Savior, Jesus. Sam was preceded in death by her parents, and by her sisters, Amelita and America. With aching hearts yet with the comfort of Christ, she is survived by her loving husband and children of Edmond, OK; her brother, Leon Molina; Nicholas Wright; and her sisters, Allisa Hill and Janie Fullington.
The victory of Sandie J. “Sam” Dellaughter will be celebrated on Saturday, October 4th at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church & School in Edmond, OK. To view the service online, click here.
Though her time with us was far too brief, Sam’s legacy of love, light and connection will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and held in the eternal embrace of her Lord.
Rather than flowers, loving contributions can be made toward Sam's medical expenses.
