Sam "Sammy" David McAdams, 69, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 in Georgetown, TX. Sam was born in Oklahoma City on February 7th, 1951 to Sam A. and Millie (McMahan) McAdams. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother Katherine McAdams.Sam is survived by two sisters, Clauda Orrell and husband Bud, Georgetown, and Marsha Cofer and husband Ron of Poteau, OK. Two nieces, Xochitl Wood and husband Alan of Cameron, TX and Kim Rose and husband David of Stigler, OK. Two nephews, Steve Orrell and wife Leigh Anna of Elkhorn, Nebraska and Kyle Cofer of Choctaw, OK and many other loved ones.Sam loved his Lord and testified to his friends and family. He was loving, kind and never met a stranger. He was a joy to be around, funny and a true friend. Sam graduated from John Marshall High School in 1969. He then attended and played golf at Oklahoma City University receiving a degree in Business Administration. Sam had a variety of jobs, but his love was golf. He was a golf professional at Quail Creek Golf and Country Club before moving over to The Greens. During his tenure in the golf industry, Sam always looked to improve others through teaching and inventing. His PerTanium driver was the flagship creation for his company, ITALL Golf. Post golf, Sam worked at Edwards Wire Rope in OKC until retiring and moving to Georgetown, TX in 2016. While there, Sam rediscovered his love for the game of golf. Prior to the Covid outbreak, he missed shooting his age by just one shot.A celebration of Sam's life will be held at Smith & Kernke N. May in the Gathering Room on September 1st at 6PM.
