Sandra Lee Engel

Sandra Lee Engel led a full and beautiful life. She was raised with great love by her grandmother Ettie who adored Bob Engel from the minute they were introduced. She married the love of her life, her wonderful Bob, in January 1957, in Hapeville, Georgia. She was “the Georgia peach” to her many friends and family alike known for her Southern hospitality and cooking, her gracious home and her loving heart. Sandra was most proud of her long and happy marriage to Bob and their 6 children, Terri, Tom, Chris, Joe, Dan and Paul.  Sandra lived her life as a faithful Catholic who found great strength in her faith and was proud of the Catholic education they provided for them. Sandra loved to do anything with and for her family – travel to her home in Atlanta, float the Illinois River, spend the day at Turner Falls, make the annual trek to the State Fair of Oklahoma, or simply host the many family dinners with everyone present. Her philosophy was “Where there’s a will and a woman, there’s a way!” Sandra  is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Tim, and her beloved husband Bob. She is survived by her 6 children and their spouses, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. We will all miss you sweet Sandra, our dearest mother, our fun mom, our most loving grandma, our Mimi and GG.
