Sarinda Catherine Gibson

Our beloved Sarinda Catherine Gibson, age 66, died peacefully in the arms of her husband on May 27, 2022 at home in Oklahoma City after a stoic and courageous battle with cancer. Sarinda was born on December 28, 1955 on Whiteman AFB, Missouri to Pete and Carol Pettingill. She moved to Mangum, Oklahoma around the age of 10 and graduated from Mangum High School in 1974. She later earned a Bachelors degree in English Literature from UCO in 1992. She is survived by Keith her faithful husband of 34 years, two children, Samuel and Hannah, her brother Kerry Pettingill, sister Tuni Lively, her Aunt Donna Thomas, numerous relatives, nieces and nephews. Sarinda very much loved her family and cherished her countless friends. She adored children and they adored her. She enthusiastically embraced life! Always first to arise for the new day! She, along with her green thumb and red lipstick, created a wonderful home that is indeed a reflection of her soul. She was an artist in every way, remarkable at recognizing and creating the aesthetic . She was a joyous and infectious spirit! Jesus, no doubt, will welcome her with open arms!
