On Thursday, May 26, 2022, Stephanie Lynn Kellert passed away peacefully after a 6-year battle with breast cancer. It was 4 years and 4 months to the date after her husband and "Twin Flame," Lucas Martin Kellert, passed away on January 26, 2018. Stephanie was born in Dallas, TX and delivered by her mother Michelle Nielsen at 3:33 in the afternoon, a number that would follow her the rest of her life. After living in Dallas, the first years of her life, Stephanie and her mom would move to Cleveland, OK and change her life forever. It was here at age 12 that Stephanie met her future husband, Lucas, and the Kellert Family that would embrace Stephanie like their own. The couple would get married in Norman, OK on a beautiful evening on May 16, 2009. Their family would double soon after that as they created two beautiful blond-headed angels in Lukai (11) and Liev (9). Steph was one of the all-time great communicators and a believer of empathy. She was called to use these skillsets to help people through her vocation as a Licensed Profession Counselor (LPC). While going through chemotherapy the first time in 2016, she was able to complete her master's program in the Arts of Psychology from SNU and went on to be a successful therapist. A couple of months after her sweet Lucas had passed in 2018, her breast cancer returned. She refused to let that define her and taught her girls that they have to continue to find the positives and joy in life and to keep living to honor their dad. Fate sent her a second love story and the last 3.5 years of her life she spent with her partner Benjamin and his son Maxwell (11). She was able to show her girls and herself that you don't get over grief, but hearts can heal and expand for others. Stephanie will be missed by many family and friends, but especially her survivors, including her daughters, Lukai Madyx Kellert & Liev Evelyn Kellert, of Edmond, OK; her mother, Michelle Nielsen, of Kingwood, TX; her dad, Steven Gillon, of Dallas, TX; her partner & his son, Benjamin Jacob Mason and Maxwell Tremont Mason, of Edmond, OK; her sister-in-law, spouse & children, Gretchen & Cory Presley, Cirah & Matt Wilkinson, of Springtown, TX; her brother-in-law, Paul Kellert III, of Tulsa, OK; her brother-in-law, spouse & kids, Markus & Sarah Kellert, Emily & Olivia Kellert, of Tulsa, OK; her mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Emily & Mike Reusch, of Flint, TX; her father-in-law and step mother-in-law, Paul & Karie Kellert, her step mom, Wendy Gillon, of Decatur, TX; her sister, spouse & children, Delaney & Ben Bruneel, Rylan & Paisley Bruneel, of Decatur, TX; her sister & spouse, Kendyl & Dan Lineback, of Nashville, TN, as well as many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucas Martin Kellert (37).A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 24th, 2022, at 1pm at Smith & Kernke North May Chapel, 14624 N. May Ave, OKC, OK 73134. Guests are recommended to wear colorful clothing to honor Steph's gratitude for life. Special thanks to the Smith & Kernke Funeral Home.
