Susan Sweeney-Marshall

Susan Sweeney Marshall, a beloved mother and friend, passed away on January 27, 2026. She was born on December 23, 1945 in Oklahoma City to Robert and Laura (Johnston) Sweeney. Susan lived a life marked by devotion to her family and her community.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband Gerald Marshall; and brother Michael Sweeney. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her loving son, Tom, her stepchildren Laura Morgan, Mindy Haffner, and John Marshall; her many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She touched each of their lives in different and loving ways.

Susan had a tremendous spirit and deep passion for the community. She was known for her quick wit and her great love for animals, a passion she shared with her family and her many friends. Her 30-year community devotion to managing the Nichols Hills parks was a reflection of her belief in the importance of neighborhood pride and connection.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Susan’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at All Souls’ Episcopal Church.

Susan’s family requests memorial donations in her name be made to the organizations she held close to her heart: Nichols Hills Parks and the Humane Society.
