Sylvia Ann Ledbetter Monk

Sylvia Ann Ledbetter Monk was born on January 3, 1936, in Heavener, Oklahoma, to Fred and Kate Silva Ledbetter.

Sylvia graduated from high school in 1954 and continued her studies at the University of Science and Arts, returning to Heavener to be employed with The State National Bank. On July 16, 1966, she married James L. Monk making their home in Oklahoma City, later moving to Shreveport, New Jersey, Burlington, North Carolina and then bank to Oklahoma.

Preceded in death by her father Fred & mother Kate Ledbetter; sisters Sara Jane Ledbetter Bartzen, Minnie Kathrine Ledbetter Crutchfield.

Survived by husband James L. Monk; nieces Angela and husband Jim Allin, Kelly and husband Jim Dertinger; nephews Bernard J. and wife M.H. Bartzen, Fred Bartzen, Tom and wife Heather Bartzen and Curt and wife Carla Smith. Also, a host of cousins, neighbors, and special friends.

Sylvia was active in women's golf and in the Oklahoma Central Golf Association.
