Terry Waldo Bryan passed away, surrounded by his family, on June 18th, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer. The son of Gilford LaRoss "Ross" and Robba Nell (Skillings) Bryan, Terry was born February 7th, 1962 in Guymon, OK. Raised in the Oklahoma panhandle, he graduated from Guymon High School in 1980. Terry married the love of his life, Marsha (Rogers) Bryan, June 22, 1981. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1984, where together they raised son Tyson and daughter Crystal. Terry retired in 2023 after working many years in Home Improvement, most notably at Home Depot for 25 years.
Terry is remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He most thoroughly enjoyed being 'Grampy' to his four grandchildren and would proudly share pictures and stories of his grandchildren to anyone he met, usually because he was wearing one of his 'grampy' t-shirts. He also found joy in spending time with his family, especially summer trips to the OBX (Outer Banks in North Carolina), as well as making goodies at Christmastime to share with family and friends. Terry was a big movie buff, watching and re-watching favorite movies and quoting movie lines. He was also an avid OU Sooners fan, and loved to watch Sooner softball, Sooner women's and men's basketball, as well as Sooner football.
Terry is preceded in death by his father Ross Bryan of Goodwell, OK, uncles Waldo Bryan of Goodwell, OK and Dale Ray Skillings of Tulsa, OK and aunts Dormalee Bryan of Goodwell, OK and Carol Heine of Denton, TX.
He is survived by his mother Robba Bryan of Goodwell, OK; wife of 44 years, Marsha Rogers Bryan of the home; two children, Tyson Bryan of Oklahoma City, and Crystal Bennett and husband Gary of Yukon, OK; four grandchildren, Cadence Bennett, Laila Bennett, Malachi (Kai) Bennett, and Finnegan Jude Garrison (Finn) Bennett of Yukon, OK; two sisters Debbie Larsen and husband Tyler of Sumner, IA and Linda Bryan of Colorado Springs, CO; aunt Kay Scheets and husband George of Stillwater, OK; uncle Dewayne Bryan and wife Sherrie of Liberal, KS; three nieces Allie Larsen of Waterloo, IA, Megan Larsen of Des Moines, IA, and Heather Gibson and husband Casey and their children of Kenton, OK; three nephews Zachary Larsen of Cedar Falls, IA, AJ Bryan and wife Kim and their children of Shell Rock, IA, and Christopher Hammang of Colorado Springs, CO; survivors also include loving in-laws, extended family and dear friends.
