Thomas G. Scott

Thomas George Scott (19 July 1949 – 4 April 2026)

Tom Scott was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City. He graduated from Northwest Classen High School, class of 1968, and attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating with a BA in Business. While at OU, Tom was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He worked many years as a landman, covering the oil fields in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas.

Tom embraced life to the fullest. He never tired of rooting for OU football. He inherited his life-long love of golf from his father and loved his dogs, his cars and motorcycle; attending the horse races was one of his favorite pastimes. A kind, gentle soul who lived life with humor and dedication to his many friends.

He is preceded in death by this parents Paul G. Scott and Mary C. (née Rumsey) Scott. He is survived by cousins Roy McGrann (Denver, CO) and Jeremiah McGrann (Boston, MA), and cousins on both sides of his family. 

Memorial service will be Monday, April 20, 2026, at 12 noon at Smith & Kernke N. May Chapel.
