Walter Albert Peterson, 69 years old. Died August 11, 2023. Walter was born July 10, 1954 in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Luise M. and Walter C. Peterson. Growing up in Lawton, OK and graduating Lawton High School. He attended Oklahoma State University graduating in 1976 with a Bachelor's degree. He was an avid fan of OSU Cowboys, attending many basketball and football games, tournaments and bowl games with Locky. He was a journeyman electrician employed with Parker Electric for over 40 years. He enjoyed Sports Car Club of America, driving his Datsun 2000 around the challenge courses in the 1980s. He also loved golf and woodworking throughout his life. He is survived by his sister Lilian L. Fogel and husband Robert of Charleston, South Carolina, and sister Ellen Schoonaert and William Hubbard of Lawton, Oklahoma. Nephews, Eric Fogel of New York City, Daniel Fogel and his wife, Meagan of Atlanta, Georgia, and Grandnieces Charleigh and Ashton. Step daughter, Valerie Edmiston and husband David of Yukon, Oklahoma. College and lifelong friend, whom Walt called his little brother, Chuck Cox and wife Wanda. He is preceded in death by Locky York the Joy and Love of his life for 32 years and his parents Luise and Walter Peterson.In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Susan B. Komen Foundation in memory of Walter and Locky York.
