Wendyl Dennis

Carlice “Wendyl” Dennis, passed from this life on his 85th birthday, September 30, 2024 at his home in Edmond, OK. Wendyl was born September 30, 1939 in Kingston, OK to Carlice Garland and Mary Lois Dennis. At 17 he asked his father to enlist in the US Army, it took some convincing, but his father finally signed the paperwork for him to enlist. While in the army Wendyl got to see much of Europe, he was stationed in Germany and took advantage of his leave time to travel to London, Paris, Frankfort, Copenhagen, Zurich, Liana, and many other cities in Europe. After the army Wendyl used the GI Bill and graduated from Central State now The University of Central Oklahoma. He married Rozanne and they had two children. He was a very involved father with his children, especially their sports, he coached both basketball and softball. When he became a grandpa, he was often at the baseball fields cheering on Conner and of course in the audience to watch Kallee dance.

Wendyl worked in the business world the majority of his life but was also lucky enough to enjoy many years of retirement. He was blessed to spend the last several years with his dear friend Cindi Wood who has been a wonderful friend and caregiver to him.
