Yvonne "Bonnie" King

Yvonne “Bonnie” Foster King, of Edmond, Oklahoma, stepped into Heaven on June 16, 2026. Born on August 22, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan to Oscar and June LaGasse. Bonnie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had a wonderful active life, big heart, and infectious laugh.

She leaves behind her children Channing (Brady) Robison of Edmond, OK and Stuart III (Kayla) King of Asheville, NC and grandchildren Alan Donaghey, Reed Tanuvasa, and Xander, Xoey and Gunnar Robison. Also survived by one sister, Alice Fitzpatrick of Edmond, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bonnie worked as a Realtor and property manager in the Washington D.C. area for 40 years before moving to Oklahoma, where she owned a pet care business and spent her retirement caring for her two youngest grandchildren who lovingly called her “Bah Baw”. She loved playing pickleball, Mah Jongg, and bridge, but could clean house in a game of Uno when challenged by her grandkids. She hosted international exchange students and served as Secretary/Treasurer for her neighborhood HOA and as Vice President for Oklahoma City Town Hall, as well as serving in many capacities for many organizations throughout her life. Additionally, she was a proud member of Crossings Community Church where she sang in the choir for 17 years, sharing her faith, her voice, and her love of music.

We would love to have you join us on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Crossings Community Church, 14600 N. Portland Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73134 for a celebration of Bonnie’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crossings Community Church (address above or online at crossings.church/give) or the Oklahoma City Town Hall Speakers Fund (PO Box 20632, Oklahoma City, OK 73156, or online at okctownhall.org/home/donate/).
